STRIIIIIIIIIIKE!!!

Only one game left and we'll call it a "season". Jake got to be pitcher for one inning yesterday...I don't know who was more nervous, me, his grandparents, or JAKE!! He did good, striking 2 out.

Anna has had cheerleading camp all week and it has worked her over pretty good. She has been a great sport through it all. She will be leaving for Branson on Sunday. She is going on vacation with her sweet friend Mackenzie Kimbriel. I hope they have fun. I'll post her pictures when they return.

Life on the hill is pretty quiet otherwise. Pool should be starting in a few days! Yeaaaaaah!!!! I'll have to post the construction and mess that we will have!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Daddy!! I love you bunches!

As you can see, we spent most of our Father's Day in the garden, but later in the afternoon, we made time for a little fun!!! The kids had a ball playing on their Slip-N-Slide. We hope we will be swimming in our new pool by the end of July!!

Summertime is Here!!!

We visited the Fort Smith airshow on May 18th. We went with Gran and Papa and took Anna's friend Emily along too. It was HOT!! but we had a great time. Jake was "schooled" on all the planes by his pilot-grandpa.

Anna graduated as planned and what kind of mom would I be if I didn't take pictures to document this wonderful day?! She was so excited about graduation and I think especially about the dance that followed. Joe and I chaperoned and I don't think we embarrassed her too much, at least I hope we didn't. The class danced to every song and I think they had a blast!!

Well, its summer and we don't have tons planned. We are still playing baseball...Jake is an alternate for the All-Star team! Softball is over for Anna unless they reschedule some make up games. She did really good this year and we are so proud of her. We are suppose to start on our swimming pool in a week or so. Maybe we will be up and going in a month or so...Anna already planning a pool party for the end of summer!!!

Anna's 6th Grade Graduation Pic

Anna is graduating from 6th grade on May 29th. She is so excited to be moving to the Jr. High! She is going to be a cheerleader for the 7th Grade and will be in the band! Time seems to be flying by so fast!! She is playing softball this summer and Jake is playing baseball. It has been pretty busy lately and I'm certain it will only get busier!!

Fun in the Sun

We got back from our cruise about a week ago and I'm still trying to catch up on laundry!! We all had a blast. The weather was nice for the majority of the trip...70-80 degrees during the day. We visited San Juan, St. Thomas, and Grand Turk. The Island of Grand Turk was by far our favorite. I'm posting a couple of pictures for everyone to see! See ya soon!

Anna in Middle School Musical

I scrapped for about an hour or so yesterday, so I thought I'd post my work. Anna was in a play at school on March 4, 2008 and this is the page I scrapped.
The weather here is a little on the chilly side, considering the wind! I have got some last minute things to do this week to get ready for our cruise, so I may not be able to post much this week....we'll see. When we get back I hope to post a lot of pictures!!

Spring is in the Air

What a difference a couple of days makes!!!! I am so ready to start planting flowers and watching them bloom! It seems like it has been a long winter and I'm ready for shorts and t-shirts. We leave to go on our cruise next Friday and we are all so excited. We leave out of Miami, visiting St. Thomas, Grand Turk, and San Juan. I hope to take lots of pictures and blog them.
Anna tries out for cheerleader the day that we leave. She is excited and nervous! Hard to believe she is going to be in Jr. High next year. It is true that they grow up so fast. Jake is already starting to throw the baseball, getting ready for "hand pitch" baseball.

It has been a few very cold days here. It started snowing on Thursday night and snowed all night. I think we got 5 or 6 inches total. Our electricity has been out since around 2 am on Friday morning. It came back on this afternoon and I could not have been happier. There are only so many card games and board games a mom can play!!! We sure take our electricity for granted! I'll post more later when everything gets back to "normal".

I made a couple of birthday cards last night. This one is for Bell, who helped raise me pretty much from the age of 3 until I moved away from home. I don't see her anymore because I've moved away, but I think about her often....Happy Birthday Bell !!!
